Meltem Özbek, 2006 yılında İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Uluslarası İlişkiler Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. 2009 İstanbul Moda Akademisi’nde Moda Tasarım Eğitimi’ni tamamladıktan sonra, İMA’nın düzenlediği defilede koleksiyon performansını gerçekleştirdi. İTKİB’in düzenlediği 2010 Koza Genç Moda Tasarımcıları yarışmasına katılarak “Deri Kategorisi’nde” birincilik ödülü elde etti. Tasarımcı, ardından moda ve tasarım eğitimine Vakko Esmod Moda Akademisi’nde devam edip Bilsar Tekstil’de staj yaptı. Ardından, İstanbul Ticaret Odası’nın düzenlediği “İstanbul Moda Atölyesi Projesi” kapsamında 2012 yılında Londra’da gerçekleşen “Pure London Fair’de” koleksiyonunu sergilemeye hak kazandı. 2012 Mayıs ayında ise İTKİB bursu ile London College of Fashion Center for Fashion Enterprise’da “Design Realisation” programını tamamlayan Özbek, bu dönemde kendi marka kimliğini yaratma sürecine başladı. Aynı dönemde bir deri firmasında profesyonel çalışmalarını da sürdürdü. 2013 ve 2014 koleksiyonlarıyla profesyonel tasarım kariyerini birçok satış noktasıyla buluşturan tasarımcı, uzun yıllardır ürettiği koleksiyon ve defile performanslarını kendi yaratıcı kürasyonuyla izleyici ve global alıcılarla buluşturmaktadır.
